On September 1st, the Bahamas gem of islands, Guana Cay, was visited by a Cat 5, Hurricane Dorian. It was recorded as the most intense hurricane on record to strike the Bahamas. Thankfully, we suffered no loss of life or injury to our much-loved Grabbers family. We now look ahead to rebuilding our treasure, Grabbers on Guana Cay.
Located on beautiful Guana Cay, Grabbers Bar & Grill has been a melting pot where locals and visitors have mingled joyfully, creating treasured memories and lifelong friendships. Whether during our longstanding Sunday Funday Day Party, Sushi Nights, Family vacations or the all too common chance meetings with celebrities, athletes or entertainers that frequented Grabbers the memories made at Grabbers (no doubt with our world-famous Grabber drink in hand) become life highlights retold for years to come. The outpouring of love, concern, and requests to aid has shown us that the Grabbers family spans the globe! We have been humbled by the number of Grabbers fans that continue to ask and offer to help.
As we make plans to rebuild, redevelop and replant, all those who have asked how they can help, we have developed the beginning of a plan. You are invited to help us restore the natural beauty and give much-needed support to Guana Cay by adopting the perfect token to represents our island gem. Nearly every palm tree was destroyed in the storm and this would be a perfect way to restore our tropical oasis.
